WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue received a No. 9 seed in the 2008 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament and will take on Utah, the No. 8 seed on Sunday, March 23 at 7 p.m. in Mackey Arena.
Purdue is one of eight host sites for preliminary round action of the NCAA Tournament and will welcome six other team in addition to Utah. First-round action begins at noon on Sunday with Oklahoma facing Illinois State, followed by Notre Dame versus Southern Methodist. Purdue and Utah are the first game of the evening session, while No. 1 seed Tennessee will face No. 16 Oral Roberts at 9:30 p.m.
Both single-session and all-session tickets are available at the Purdue Athletics Ticket office. All-session passes are $38 for adults and $28 for students. Single-session tickets are $18 for adults and $11 for students. And while supplies last, a special offer of four single-session tickets plus popcorn is available for $44. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the Purdue Athletics Ticket office in the Intercollegiate Athletic Facility, by calling 800-49-SPORT or by clicking here. Group rates are available only by calling the Purdue Ticket office.
All fans, regardless of age, must have a ticket in order to attend. Three dollars from the sale of each all-session ticket and $1 from each single-session ticket will be donated to "The Good of the Game," a fund used to preserve the history of college basketball through halls of fame, museums, educational programs and local projects.
