March 8, 2007 ATLANTA, Ga. - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), in cooperation with Eastman Kodak Company, announced the finalists today for the 2007 Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team for NCAA Division I. Purdue senior Katie Gearlds and junior Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton were named among the six finalists for Region 6 and two of 52 finalists overall. The 52 finalists, who are voted upon by WBCA-member coaches in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions, are now in the running for selection to the 10-member Kodak/WBCA All-America Team. Gearlds and Wisdom-Hylton helped lead the Boilermakers to the 2007 Big Ten Tournament Championship and both were named first team All-Big Ten. Wisdom-Hylton also garnered Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors and Gearlds was named the Most Outstanding Player for the Big Ten Tournament. Gearlds is averaging a team-high 18.5 points per game and 3.4 assists, while Wisdom-Hylton is averaging 14.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 3.0 blocks and 2.2 steals per game. The Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team will be announced at a press conference at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center on March 31, 2007, at 9:45 a.m. ET in Cleveland, Ohio. Region 6
