INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Tickets are available for tonight's Big Ten Women's Tournament championship game between Purdue and Penn State. The game begins at 7 p.m. at Conseco Fieldhouse.

The Big Ten Conference and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) have announced that tonight is "Fill the Fieldhouse Night" for the championship game. Anyone who buys a ticket at the Fieldhouse box office today will get a second ticket free. Tickets are $14.

In addition to the Fieldhouse box office, tickets are available at any Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster charge-by-phone numbers (317-239-5151 in central Indiana) and www.ticketmaster.com. The "Buy One Ticket, Get a Second Ticket Free" special offer is available only at the Fieldhouse box office.

With 8,524 fans attending Sunday's semifinals, 28,218 have attended the first four sessions of the 2004 Big Ten Women's Tournament. The record for total tournament attendance is 35,846 set in 2002 at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Women's Tournament Pep Rally - Entry Pavilion (Just inside Conseco Fieldhouse)

Prior to the championship game of the tournament, the LOC is staging a pep rally from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Fieldhouse Entry Pavilion. The Rally features the championship teams' pep bands, cheerleaders and mascots. Fans are invited to warm up inside the Fieldhouse for a "Battle of the Bands" between the pep bands, complimentary popcorn, live entertainment, face painting, autograph sessions with Indiana Fever stars Niele Ivey, Kristen Rasmussen and Stephanie White, and more. It is the only way to prepare for the final game of the Big Ten Women's Tournament. Admission is free to the pep rally.

A Historic Big Ten Women's Tournament Final

* For just the second time in the history of the Big Ten Women's Tournament, the top two seeds meet in the championship game. Penn State, the top seed, takes on second-seeded Purdue in a rematch of the winner-take-all battle for the Big Ten regular-season championship won by Penn State 69-60 on Feb. 29 in University Park, Pa.

* Never before has the tournament title been decided by two teams ranked in the nation's top 10. Penn State is ranked fifth in the Associated Press poll and sixth in the ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll. Purdue is seventh in both polls.

* Seniors Kelly Mazzante of Penn State and Shereka Wright of Purdue are two of the nation's best players, and both are finalists for National Player of the Year honors. Mazzante is the 2004 Big Ten Player of the Year, and also won the honor a season ago. Wright grabbed the 2004 Big Ten scoring title, averaging 21.4 points per game in conference play. Both are finalists for the Wade Trophy, which is given to the nation's most outstanding player, for the second year in a row.

* Of the previous nine Big Ten Women's Tournament titles, Purdue and Penn State have combined to win six of the championships. In addition, the two programs have won the last six Big Ten regular-season championships, and made three NCAA Women's Final Four appearances in the last six seasons.
