WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Please join the Purdue Alumni Association, John Purdue Club and BOILERmaker NETwork as they send off the 25th-ranked Purdue women's basketball team to the 2013 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament in style. On Thursday at noon, fans are encouraged to meet at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex lower parking lot (next to the 18th green off Cherry Lane) to give the women's basketball team a rousing sendoff. The team will be arriving at approximately 12:40 p.m. and the bus will depart at 1 p.m.

Purdue (21-8) tied for third in the Big Ten regular season with a 10-6 record and earned the three seed in the tournament. The Boilermakers will play the winner of Thursday's matchup between No. 6-seed Illinois and No. 11-seed Wisconsin, on Friday at approximately 3 p.m. ET at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill.

The Boilermakers are the defending Big Ten Tournament champions. Last year, Purdue earned the NCAA Tournament automatic bid as the No. 4 seed by defeating Nebraska in double-overtime in the title game. Purdue has won a Big Ten Conference record eight tournament titles - twice as many as any other league team - including three under seventh-year head coach Sharon Versyp.

All-session ($80) and single-session ($15) tickets for the tournament are still available and can be purchased at the Kia Box Office at the Sears Centre Arena, by phone at (888) SEARS-TIX (732-7784) or online at searscentre.com. For information about the tournament, which is being held in the Chicago area for the first time in the 19 year history of the event, please visit ChicagoMarchIsOn.com.

Take time out of your lunch break to cheer for the team as they board the bus and head off to Chicago for the Big Ten Tournament.
