Scouting The Boilermakers
Purdue (19-8, 12-4 Big Ten) is coming off a 69-51 win at Penn State. The Boilermakers are on a four-game win streak, tying their longest win streak of the season. Purdue is tied with Michigan State for second place in the Big Ten and is one game behind Ohio State for first. The Boilermakers are led by Preseason All-Big Ten selection Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton's 12.9 ppg average. Senior guard Lakisha Freeman averages 11.1 points and freshman Brittany Rayburn contributes 9.0 points per game off the bench. Wisdom-Hylton is a versatile player who averages a team-high 9.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks while recording 2.5 steals and 2.8 assists per game. Senior center Danielle Campbell is averaging 8.3 ppg and 7.7 rpg. As of Feb. 23, the Boilermakers are ranked No. 14 nationally in field goal percentage defense, holding opponents to a season average of 35.1 percent. They are 32nd for scoring defense, holding opponents to 56.0 points per game. Purdue's 35.9 percent three-point field goal percentage is 33rd among NCAA Division I schools. The Boilermakers' 15.7 assists per game is the nation's 28th best mark and the best in the conference, and their assist-to-turnover ratio of 0.94 is 29th in the country and tops in the Big Ten.

Scouting The Wolverines
Michigan (10-17, 3-13 Big Ten) is coming off a 68-64 loss to Iowa and has lost five consecutive games. The Wolverines have a balanced scoring attack with six players averaging between 9.9 and 6.6 points per game. Jessica Minnfield leads the way with a 9.9 ppg average and is the team's second leading rebounder with a 4.7 rpg average. In the loss to Iowa, Michigan outscored the Hawkeyes 44-37 in the second half, but could not overcome an 11-point halftime deficit. Michigan averages 55.5 points per game while giving up an average of 57.9 points.

She is in the top 10 in the conference in seven statistical categories and in the top 15 of two others. She is third in rebounding (9.0), tied for second for defensive rebounds (6.6), tied for 10th for offensive rebounds (2.4), fourth in the league for steals (2.5), tied with Danielle Campbell for fourth in blocked shots (1.6), fifth in field goal percentage (49.2 percent) and eighth in scoring (12.9). Wisdom-Hylton has upped her career totals to 1,492 points and 291 steals, ranking first in the Big Ten among active players in those categories. She also increased her career numbers to 880 rebounds and 270 blocks, which places her second among active conference players in those categories. She owns the school record for career rebounds, passing Stacey Lovelace with 12 boards at Penn State.

Here's The Dish
The Boilermakers share the rock with impressive efficiency. On the season, Purdue has 434 assists on 629 made field goals. That means 69.0 percent of the Boilers baskets have been set up by a pass from a teammate. The Boilermakers are averaging 15.7 assists, ranking them 28th among NCAA Division I teams. At Ohio State, Purdue had a season-low seven assists. It is the only time this season the Boilermakers have failed to reach double-digit assists.

Dominant Defense
As of Feb. 23, The Boilermakers are ranked 14th nationally among NCAA Division I schools in field-goal percentage defense and are 32nd nationally in scoring defense. Purdue has limited 11 opponents, including eight conference foes - Illinois twice, Iowa, Penn State, Minnesota twice, Northwestern and Wisconsin - to 50 points or less this season. Oakland was limited to a season-low 22.8 percent (13 of 57) from the field and 40 points. On the season, Purdue is holding opponents to an average of 56.0 points per game and 35.1 percent from the field. The Boilermakers are forcing an average of 17.4 turnovers, are averaging 8.6 steals and 4.5 blocks per game. The blocked shot average is 52nd among NCAA Division I teams.

Offensive Production
The Boilermakers are averaging 35.9 percent from three-point range this year, which ranks them 33rd among NCAA Division I teams. Including the three-point numbers, Purdue ranks in the top-40 in four offensive categories nationally. The Boilermakers are 36th for free throw percentage (73.6), 28th for assists (15.7) and 29th for assist to turnover ratio (0.94). This season, Purdue has scored 40 or more points in nine halves of play. Purdue tied its highest second half output of the season, with 44 points vs. Ohio State, after managing only 16 first-half points. Purdue scored just 24 first-half points against No. 5 Stanford, but poured in 41 points in the second period. Against Hawaii, the Boilermakers racked up 52 first half points while shooting 63.3 percent, including 76.6 percent (10 of 13) from beyond the arc. In the last 10 games, Purdue is averaging 43.2 percent from the floor with Lakisha Freeman, Jodi Howell, FahKara Malone and Lauren Mioton all shooting 50 percent or better from the field in that stretch.
