WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The game times for the final two home contests for No. 13/14 Purdue women's basketball were announced by the Big Ten Conference and BTN on Wednesday. Both the Boilermakers' Feb. 28 game against Michigan State and the March 3 matchup versus Illinois have been picked up as wildcard games to be broadcast live on BTN.
Purdue (18-4, 7-2) will play host to the Spartans on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. ET. The Boilermakers are currently in second place in the conference with a 7-2 league record and are a game ahead of both Michigan State and Illinois. Purdue has beaten both teams on the road already in league play.
The final home game of the season will feature senior day activities when the Boilermakers take on Illinois at 4 p.m. ET in Mackey Arena. The Purdue versus Illinois matchup is part of a quadruple header of women's basketball games on BTN that day. For the full schedule of BTN games for Feb. 28 and March 3, please see below.
The Boilermakers have a bye Thursday and will return to the hardwood Sunday, Feb. 10 against sixth-place Michigan (16-6, 5-4). The game will feature National Girls and Women in Sports festivities, including a free sports clinic in Lambert Fieldhouse from 9 to 11 a.m. A special group ticket rate of $2 is being offered to Girl Scout troops in honor of NGWSD and the game also is Alumnae Day with over 35 former women's basketball players, coaches and managers expected to attend.
