WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue women’s basketball standouts Leslie Johnson and Danielle McCulley were honored by the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame as members of the 2018 Silver Anniversary Team. The 18 members of the team will be honored at the 17th-annual women’s awards banquet Saturday, April 28, 2018, based on outstanding accomplishments as a senior basketball player 25 years ago.

Johnson and McCulley were both members of the Boilermakers’ first NCAA Final Four team in 1994, and a 1994 Big Ten Championship. Johnson put together one of the best freshman seasons in program history, setting rookie records for 628 points, 308 rebounds and 12 double-doubles. McCulley added a second Big Ten team title in 1995 for the Old Gold & Black, starting 15 games and averaging 9.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

The 2018 team includes 12 members of the 1993 Indiana All-Star squad, among them Indiana’s Miss Basketball. Six other all-state players are included to comprise the best of Indiana’s high school class of 1993.
