HOUSTON (AP) - Shereka Wright scored 13 of her 21 points in the second half and helped rally No. 7 Purdue to a 66-63 victory over Houston on Sunday.

Erika Valek had 10 points and six assists as Purdue (6-1) won its fifth straight.

Chandi Jones scored 24 points and Sancho Lyttle 23 for Houston, which lost its second straight after winning its first five games. The Cougars also lost to No. 9 Georgia on Wednesday.

Lindsey Hicks scored four points in a six-point run as Purdue erased a two-point deficit and moved into the lead to stay with 5:35 remaining. Wright added two baskets in the final 1:48 to help seal the win.

Purdue charged to an 11-5 lead in the opening 2:28, but Lyttle scored seven points in an 8-2 run that gave Houston a 29-26 lead with 4:06 left in the first half.

Lyttle finished with 15 first-half points and Jones had 12 as Houston took a 34-30 lead at the break.
