Purdue NCAA Tournament Game Notes
First Round - vs. No. 8 seed Kansas State

• The Boilermakers made their 21st appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

• Purdue improved to 43-19 all-time in the NCAA Tournament. The victory marked Purdue's 17th all-time win in the first round of the NCAA Tournament (17-1).

• Kansas State's 45 points were the fewest allowed to a tournament opponent by the Boilermakers since Purdue defeated Oral Roberts 63-42 in the opening round of the 2007 NCAAs.

• Purdue improved to 3-0 all-time against Kansas State.

• The victory was Purdue's third in last four games.

Courtney Moses made her first career shot and got fouled on the attempt with just over two minutes to go in the game. After she made the three-point conversion on the free throw, Kansas State did not score - missing its final four shots and turning the ball over twice.

• Purdue out-shot Kansas State 40.5 percent to 30.2 for the game.

• Purdue offset a 42 to 27 difference in rebounds by going 14 of 16 from the free throw line to KSU's 1 of 2 effort.

• As the higher-seeded team, No. 9 Purdue won its visiting black uniforms.

Drey Mingo and Courtney Moses made their first starts in the NCAA Tournament for Purdue. They were later joined on the floor by Boilermaker NCAA newcomers: Antionette Howard, Dee Dee Williams and Samantha Woods.

Alex Guyton, Chelsea Jones, Chantel Poston and Brittany Rayburn all made their second NCAA appearances, having played during Purdue's last trip to the Big Dance in 2008-09.
