MADISON, Wis. (AP) -Katie Gearlds scored a school-record 41 points as No. 16 Purdue defeated Wisconsin 69-60 on Sunday.

Gearlds scored 14 of the Boilermakers' final 15 points as Purdue (23-5, 12-2 Big Ten) pulled away from Wisconsin (18-10, 7-8).

Mariah Dunham led three Badgers in double figures with 16 points.

The Badgers went on a 9-0 run to pull within 54-52, but Gearlds made a 3-pointer and scored on Purdue's final four possessions to keep Wisconsin at bay.

Gearlds was 13-for-20 from the floor and 12-for-13 from the free-throw line, as the Boilermakers' leading scorer broke her previous career high of 33 points. She also added a game-high nine rebounds.

Danielle Ward scored 12 points and Jolene Anderson added 11 for Wisconsin, which led most of the first half before Gearlds paced a run that gave Purdue a 32-29 lead at the half.

The Badgers tied the game at 37 early in the second half when Janese Banks and Anderson each made 3-pointers.

Wisconsin missed its next six shots from beyond the arc as Purdue used an 11-0 run to take a 54-43 lead with 7:57 left. But the Badgers took advantage of three straight Boilermaker turnovers to get back within two, but that was as close as Wisconsin would get.
