BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Boilermakers retain possession of the Barn Burner Trophy for the 10th-consecutive year after defeating the Hoosiers 55-49 on Thursday in Bloomington, Ind.

With the scored tied at halftime, Purdue used an 8-0 run at the start of the second half, giving them a 35-27 lead. The Boilermakers never trailed in the second period.

At 7:02 in the second half, the Boilermakers used a 10-0 run to push the lead to 13 points, their largest of the game. Indiana fought back, cutting the lead to three with 1:43 to go, but could get no closer.

Lakisha Freeman led Purdue in scoring with 15 points, along with nine rebounds, two assists and two steals while playing the entire 40 minutes. Danielle Campbell recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds and Keshia Mosley added 10 points.

The Boilermakers shot 33.3 (20 of 60) percent from the field, but were 0 of 9 from three-point range. It is the second time this season that Purdue has failed to make a three-pointer. The Hoosiers were 20 of 59 from the field for 33.9 percent, including just 4 of 22 from three-point range.

Purdue will play host to top-ranked Connecticut on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET in Mackey Arena.
