Sept. 24, 2010
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the premium seating license price points that will be in place in the new Mackey Arena Club and Courtside seating areas for the 2011-12 basketball season. Options are in place for three-, five-, seven-, 10- or 20-year licenses. Please note that premium seating will not be in place for the upcoming 2010-11 season.
Club Seating - $2,500
Courtside Seating, Rows 2-4 - $4,500
Courtside Seating, Row 1 - $8,500
Club Seating - $100
Courtside Seating, Rows 2-4 - $200
Courtside Seating, Row 1 - $300
(Combined pricing will be the cost of a men's license plus the cost of a women's season ticket)
"We are very excited for fans to root on the Boilermakers from the premium seating areas," athletics director Morgan Burke said. "Our supporters that opt to sit in the newly created Club or Courtside seats will have a game-day experience unlike any they have had in Mackey Arena.
"We consulted with John Purdue Club members and season-ticket holders and are sensitive to the tough economic times everyone is facing right now. We have been evaluating these numbers for quite a while, and the price points that we will utilize came in on the lower end of all of our financial studies and models."
The timeline for selection of Club and Courtside seats begins Nov. 1, 2010, for those who have paid their initial deposit, but there is still time to purchase licenses after the start of seat selection. To date, nearly two-thirds of the total 620 premium seats (both Club and Courtside) have been committed. As a point of reference, the John Purdue Club point estimate for "non-Club" lower arena seats is 800 if fans order the same number of tickets for 2011-12 as they did for 2010-11.
