Douglas Sixth at Las Vegas Invitational

LAS VEGAS, Nev.--Senior Eric Douglas was the lone Boilermaker to place at the Las Vegas Invitational on Dec. 5-6 in Las Vegas, Nev. Purdue finished 25th with a score of 22.50. Douglas placed sixth at 158 pounds, forfeiting his last match due to a shoulder injury. In the previous round, he defeated Bill Zeman of Illinois.

Sophomore Eric Kerkhof went 4-2 at 142 pounds, while junior heavyweight David Pierce missed placing by one match. Kerkhof defeated ASU's Tracy Brown 6-5 in the consolation round before losing to Cole Sanderson of Iowa State 5-2.

Purdue's Tim Dernlan and Willie Wineberg were among those who did not compete in Las Vegas.
