Senior Ivan Lopouchanski and sophomore Brandon Nelsen opened the season in undefeated fashion.
This is the seventh time in the last eight years the Boilermakers have opened in Ypsilanti.
The Boilermakers' preseason starting lineup will be set this weekend.

Awarded a medical hardship from the NCAA after suffering a season-ending injury at the Old Dominion Duals (1/3) ... went 15-6 on the shortened season, including an 11-match win streak from Dec. 13 to Dec. 29 ... took third at the Cleveland State Open (12/13), going 7-1 on the day ... swept the Purdue Duals (12/20) with two major decisions and a technical fall ... went 3-2 at the Midlands Championships (12/29), including a pair of major decisions ... racked up a career-high 91 takedowns in 21 matches, good for fifth most on the team ... tied for second with seven major decisions and ranked fourth with three technical falls.
