Took home the 133-pound title at the Eastern Michigan Open (11/7), starting his first season at the weight with four straight wins, including a 5-1 win over Navy's Pat McCaffrey in the finals ... posted a 2-1 mark at the Northwestern Duals (11/14), including a 5-4 Big Ten victory over Northwestern's Eric Metzler ... stretched together six straight wins between the Missouri Dual (11/20) and Missouri Open (11/22), topping the Tigers' Nathan McCormick twice and finishing second in the open tournament ... went 1-2 at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (12/4), sticking Julian Pierce of San Francisco State for his first pin of the year ... rolled out a 4-0 performance at the Purdue Duals (12/20), scoring a pin, a technical fall and two major decisions ... went 3-2 at the Midlands Wrestling Championships (12/29-30), reaching the second day of the tournament and avenging a loss to Stanford's Justin Paulsen ... went 1-2 at the Wendy's Duals (1/17), earning his third fall of the season and suffering narrow losses to No. 10 Steve Bell of Maryland and No. 13 Dan Mitcheff of Kent State.
