Took home the 133-pound title at the Eastern Michigan Open (11/7), starting his first season at the weight with four straight wins, including a 5-1 win over Navy's Pat McCaffrey in the finals ... posted a 2-1 mark at the Northwestern Duals (11/14), including a 5-4 Big Ten victory over Northwestern's Eric Metzler.
2008-2009 (SOPHOMORE, 125/133)
Posted an 8-14 mark, including an 0-6 mark in Big Ten duals ... grabbed third place at the Eastern Michigan Open (11/1) with a pair of wins over 16th-ranked Ross Gitomer of Virginia, including a 5:25 fall in the third-place match ... went 2-0 at the inaugural Boilermaker Challenge (11/15), continuing a six-match streak without relinquishing a takedown ... went 1-2 at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (12/5) and the Midlands Championships (12/29) ... tied for fifth on the team with five reversals on the season.
