Finished 21-13 in his first collegiate season ... went 2-2 at the Eastern Michigan Open (11/5), including his first collegiate fall ... placed fifth at the Michigan State Open, going 5-1 with wins over a pair of Big Ten opponents ... won nine straight matches from 12/4 to 12/29, including five falls ... won the Maryville/Kaufman Brands Open (12/4) with three falls and a 10-3 decision over NCAA qualifier Nick Hucke of Missouri ... pinned Michigan State's Brian Gibbs (12/9) in his first career Big Ten dual ... advanced to the Round of 12 at the Midlands Championships (12/29-30), including his first career win over a ranked opponent: Stephen Dutton of Lehigh (D 4-2) ... placed eighth at the Big Ten Championships (3/3-4), going 2-3 ... finished second on the team with nine falls, matching the No. 17 mark in single-season history ... ranked fourth with 41 takedowns, third with 12 reversals and third with 26 back points.

Four-time varsity letterwinner at Lawrence North High School; placed at the Indiana State High School Championships four times, including the 119-pound state title as a senior; finished third at the state tournament as a junior and sophomore and fourth as a freshman; posted a high school career record of 187-27, including a 51-1 mark as a senior and 50-4 mark as a junior; took third place at the 2009 Flonationals Tournament; joins former high school teammate Cashé Quiroga on the Boilermaker roster.
