Finished 23-15 in his inaugural season at 184 pounds, including a 6-2 mark in Big Ten duals ... placed third at the Eastern Michigan Open, going 3-1 with a pair of falls ... topped his first ranked opponent at the Northeast Duals (11/26), downing Binghamton's Nate Schiedel (MD 15-3), en route to a 3-1 day ... won six consecutive matches via bonus point from 12/9 to 12/29 (four falls, two major decisions) ... finished fourth at the Midlands Championships (12/29-30), scoring three falls and a major decision, while losing to only the top-two seeds ... earned seventh place and an NCAA automatic qualifier at the 2012 Big Ten Championships (3/3-4), going 3-2 with a pair of decisions and a forfeit win ... went 1-2 at the NCAA Championships (3/15-16), falling to the NCAA Champion (Steve Bosak of Cornell) and the No. 10 seed ... named the Boilemakers' Outstanding Freshman and Iron Man ... finished second on the team with 23 wins, third on the team with eight falls and tied for third with four major decisions.
