WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men’s tennis team will host a single-elimination walk-on tournament for full-time Purdue students Aug. 30 at the Schwartz Tennis Center.

Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours for the fall semester and be registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center to be eligible for the walk-on tournament. Participants must also provide proof of a doctor’s physical within the last six months and proof of a sickle cell test before they can play.

Students interested in playing in the tournament are required to attend an informational meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Schwartz Tennis Center. Students will need to bring the above noted documentation with them to the meeting and be able to provide their own cans of tennis balls, racquets, tennis shoes and other appropriate attire for the tournament.

The coaching staff reserves the right to make all final judgments, though no roster spot is guaranteed. For more information, contact Tennis Operations Assistant Lisa Braden via email or at 765.494.5236.
