WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's tennis team is hosting a walk-on tournament on Saturday for any Purdue student who would like to try to be a part of the team.

On Friday at 4 p.m., there will be a mandatory meeting at the Schwartz Tennis Center for all participants. The meeting will include a signup and collection of necessary documents. Each participant will need to provide his Purdue ID number, a physical form from the within 12 months, and sickle cell test results. Other documents and forms will also be completed at the meeting.

Saturday's tournament will start at 9 a.m. and will be a single elimination draw. Each participant is responsible for his own equipment including one can of balls to be used during the match.

The Boilermakers have improved each year under head coach Pawel Gajdzik. Last season, the team brought in its highest recruit in program history with Diego Acosta. Acosta and Aaron Dujovne ended the season as one of the nation's best doubles teams.
