WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -  The Purdue men’s tennis team hits the road for the first time in the 2013 season as the Boilermakers head to the east coast to participate in the Dartmouth Kickoff Classic. Purdue will play Dartmouth on Saturday and Brown on Sunday.

Purdue (5-0) picked up a pair of wins last weekend. The Boilermakers knocked off DePaul 4-3 and IPFW 7-0. The win against DePaul snapped a three match losing streak to the Blue Demons. Krisztian Krocsko leads the way for the Boilermakers with a 5-0 singles record. The senior has picked up two wins apiece at No. 4 and No. 6 and added a win at No. 5. Mark Kovacs and Aaron Dujovne have the next best records. The juniors are each 3-0 in singles play. Kovacs has one win at No. 1 and the other two at No. 2.

Dartmouth (0-0) opens the season against Clemson on Friday before taking on the Boilermakers at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday. The Big Green were led in the fall by Xander Centenari. Centenari had a 5-3 overall record. Justin Chan, Erik Nordahl, and Brendan Tannenbaum each picked up four singles wins in the fall. Tannenbaum won his final two matches of the season. Dartmouth enters the season ranked 49th in the nation, though it does not have any ranked players or teams.

Brown (0-0) opens its season on Saturday against Clemson. The Bears enter the season ranked 51st in the country and have a ranked doubles pair. Brandon Burke and Sam Fife enter the season as the No. 48 tandem in the nation. The team has a 12-man roster that includes one senior, four juniors, five sophomores, and three freshmen.
