WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The No. 64 Purdue men's tennis team opens its dual season on Sunday as it travels to DePaul to take on the No. 68 Blue Demons. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. ET from the Lakeshore Athletic Club.

Saturday's match is the first for Purdue and the fourth for DePaul. The Blue Demons are 3-0 on the young season with a pair of 7-0 wins over Illinois-Chicago and Detroit on Jan. 14, and a 5-2 win over Toledo on Friday night.

Purdue returns six players from a year ago including sophomore Mark Kovacs who, based on his performances in the 2011 spring and fall, is ranked No. 105 individually in the nation. The Boilermakers also add two highly touted recruits including the highest ranked incoming freshman in school history, Diego Acosta.

The Blue Demons, winners of 16 of the 18 singles matches thus far, have terrific individual singles records so far this season. Mathias Hambach has a perfect 3-0 record at the No. 4 position as does Filip Dzanko at No. 2. Adam Reinhart is perfect at the No. 6 spot and carries a six match winning streak into Saturday's match.
