1.) What made you decide to attend Purdue and compete for the Boilermakers? What other schools were you and your parents looking at?

I took recruiting trips to Indiana, Georgia, Texas, Ohio State, Arizona State, Duke, and of course Purdue. I enjoyed every trip I went on, however the biggest factor that made Purdue stand out was definitely the people.

All those schools are great academically and athletically, but just the atmosphere at PU with Adam and all the guys on the team is awesome. Diving in college will take up at least half my time and it has to be with people I'm going to get along with, and I knew from the moment I stepped on campus I was going to fit right in.

2.) Was there any fear the first time you attempted a dive off the 10-meter tower? If so, how did you overcome it?

10-meters is pretty high up there, and of course I was scared the first time I jumped off. The key, I guess, was just taking it one step at a time, moving up from the 5 to the 7.5 up to the 10. I've been fortunate enough to dive with a great coach, Buck Smith at Legacy Diving, and he always pushed me in the right direction and would never make me go up there if he didn't think I was ready.

I wouldn't say I'm fearless, more so crazy. I just tell myself every time I go, the worst that could happen is a smack. I'll wake up the next morning and then just chuck it.

3.) Of all the divers you've been around, who has been your favorite to compete against?

A couple weeks ago this question would be tough, but after going to the CAMO (Club Aquatique de Montreal) meet it's definitely Alexandre Despatie. True, he killed me by over 100 points, but just the experience of seeing how he does what he does was really cool.

4.) In the years to come, who of any diver, would you like to compete against?

In the future I would love to compete against Steve (LoBue), the current 'top dog' if you will at Purdue. I've seen a couple clips of him and he's definitely a great diver. It would be an awesome experience to take him on.

5.) Are there any dives that you are really looking to perfect as you continue to gain more experience?

My toughest dive on 10-meter right now is my reverse 3 and 1/2. It feels great to do it right and I would love to get it down consistently.
