WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Multiple individual victories from Lyam Dias, Brian Kiel Danny Tucker on the men's side and Lauren Roth among the women led the Purdue swimming and diving teams to a double dual meet sweep of Notre Dame Friday evening at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center.
The Purdue men won 13 of the 16 events on their way to a 168-110 victory. The Purdue women captured 10 of the 16 events to emerge victorious 168-131.
The men dominated three of the five individual freestyle events, featuring at least the top three finishers in the 50, 100 and 500. The women also had the top three finishers in the 50 and 500 free. Tucker won the 50 and 100 and also swam on both the victorious 200 medley and 400 free relay teams.
Brian Kiel swept the backstroke events. Dias captured the 200 breaststroke and 400 individual medley in his best meet so far of his freshman season. Dias teamed with 100 breast winner Albert Miller to allow the Boilers to sweep that stroke.
