WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Former Boilermaker All-American diver Amanda Miller earned her second silver medal this week at the Speedo USA Diving Spring National Championships, finishing as the runner-up with Christina Loukas in the 3-meter synchronized competition.

Wednesday, Miller was second to Victoria Ishimatsu on 1-meter, scoring 270.65 points.

Miller and Loukas totaled 299.10 points Friday night but were three-points shy of the winning score posted by Mary Yarrison and Abby Johnston.

Miller and Loukas were also the runners-up during prelims with 276 points. Prelim victors Ariel Rittenhouse and Kelci Bryant went on to finish third in finals with 288.30 points.

Earlier in the day, Miller and current Boilermaker Ashley Karnes finished 10th and 12th in the 3-meter prelim round. Miller scored 279.90 points and Karnes accumulated 265.40 points. Both competitiors will advance to finals for placing among the top 12.

In men's platform competitions, All-American David Colturi finished eighth with 372.85 points and future Boilermaker David Boudia teamed up with Thomas Finchum to win platform synchro with 423.60 points.

Finchum and Boudia together have claimed five national titles in synchronized 10-meter.

Thursday night, Finchum and Boudia placed third in 3-meter synchro with 384.60 points. They scored a second-place total of 365.55 points in prelims.

Boudia has a shot to win two more national titles this week. He placed sixth in 3-meter prelims with 381.20 points and was the runner-up in tower prelims with 429.90 points.
