WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue men's swimming and diving head coach Dan Ross has announced the Boilermakers' 2012-13 recruiting class, featuring seven standouts - six swimmers and a diver - set to join the program for next season.

Evan Barta (Hartland, Wis.), Danny Conway (Grayslake, Ill.), Nate Hopkins (Carmel, Ind.), Bo Ilgenfritz (Fairfax Station, Va.), Layne Rogers (West Lafaeytte, Ind.), Stephen Seliskar (McLean, Va.) and Jes Stephens (Cockeysville, Md.) have signed National Letters of Intent, committing to attend Purdue and compete for the Boilermakers.

Additionally, Guillermo Blanco (Madrid, Spain) joined the program in late December during the winter training program and is currently enrolled in classes while competing for Purdue as an active member of the program.

The local product Rogers represents the diving representative of the incoming signing class. Barta and Seliskar specialize in backstroke events, Conway the individual medley, Hopkins mid and distance freestyle events, Ilgenfritz the breaststroke, and Stephens sprint freestyle races.

Barta was a Wisconsin state champion for the 15- and 16-year-old age groups in the 100 and 200 back on the club level. He was a three-team WIAA state qualifier entering his senior season.

Conway entered his senior season as a three-time IHSAA state meet qualifier in the 500 free. He also competed in the 200 IM, 200 medley and 400 free relays at state last year.
