WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Olympic gold medalist and Purdue diving alumnus David Boudia will be signing autographs at a meet and greet Saturday prior to day two of the Big Ten Triple Duals meet hosted by Purdue swimming and diving at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center.
Boudia will sign autographs from 11 to 11:45 a.m. on the second floor of the Boilermaker Aquatic Center near the entrance to the spectator level. Complimentary photographs will be provided, or fans can bring their own Purdue or Team USA gear to be autographed.
Purdue athletics will also be giving away an autographed replica of Boudia's gold medal from the 2012 Olympic Games. A trivia challenge will be conducted in conjunction with Boudia's autograph session to determine the winner of the unique prize.
Day two action of the Big Ten Triple Duals begins at noon. Admission is free to all meets at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center. The men's and women's teams of Purdue swimming and diving are both nationally ranked. They're hosting nationally-ranked Minnesota and Wisconsin this weekend for the annual two-day meet, which begins Friday at 6 p.m. Purdue's twelve seniors will be recognized at senior salute ceremony Saturday at 11:45 a.m.
Boudia is a two-time Olympian who won gold and bronze medals in 10-meter platform events at the 2012 Olympics in London. He competed for the Boilermakers from 2009-11, winning six NCAA championships and eight Big Ten titles. He recently earned his Purdue degree and continues to train at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center under the guidance of Purdue head diving coach Adam Soldati. Last month, Boudia won a pair of USA Diving national titles from the 3-meter springboard at the Winter Nationals. It marked the first time he had competed from 3-meter board since the 2011 NCAA Championships.
