IOWA CITY, Iowa -- A new school-record time by Albert Miller in the 100 breaststroke and another freshman mark by Guillermo Blanco highlighted day three of the Big Ten Championships for Purdue men's swimming and diving Friday.

Miller's time of 53.54 in the morning preliminaries eclipsed Giordan Pogioli's 2006 team benchmark (53.60).

Blanco lowered his own freshman record in the 400 IM, taking fourth in the A final. Jan Petric initially lowered the mark in the morning prelims, later settling for seventh in the A final.

The quartet of Ben Ziolkowski, Matt Friede, Ben Wachtel and Danny Tucker teamed up for the second-fastest time (1:18.10) in the 200 free relay in school history.

For the second day in row, Alec Back and Jamie Bissett both scored team points by qualifying for the consolation final of a springboard diving event. Back took fourth and Bissett fifth in the 3-meter competition Friday.

The Big Ten Championships conclude Saturday. Prelims are slated for 1 p.m. and finals 7:30 p.m. ET.
