2012-13: Koss competed primarily in the freestyle sprints... posted season-best times in the 50 (21.23), 100 (46.04) and 200 free (1:40.71) at the Michigan First Chance meet... placed sixth as Purdue's top finisher in the 200 free at the Michigan First Chance meet... finished the season strong with his second-best time of the year in the 100 free (46.22) in the dual meet with Indiana... competed in the freestyle sprints as well as the 100 back at the Purdue Invitational... also raced in the 100 fly at Michigan.

Before Purdue: Koss was a four-year letter-winner for coaches Kyle Messmore and John Davis at Westfield High School... four-year Indiana state meet qualifier... individually, placed fifth the 200 free and eighth in the 100 free at state as a senior... finished among the top eight in each of his events as a junior and helped the Westfield 400 free relay team take third... Team MVP as a senior.

Personal: Full name is Peter Louis William Koss... parents are Bill and Karen Koss... his father Bill is a Purdue alumnus and swam for the Boilermakers... majoring in mechanical engineering technology with a career ambition of specializing in military intelligence as an officer in the United States Army... involved in the Purdue ROTC program.
