2015-16: Big Ten Distinguished Scholar... Academic All-Big Ten... CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All-America... Thomas competed in the freestyle sprints... posted career-best times in the 50 (20.21), 100 (45.62) and 200 free (1:39.92) at the Big Ten Championships... ranked third fastest on the team in the 50 free in 2015-16... also swam on Purdue's 200 free relay team at Big Tens that recorded the fifth-fastest time in program history... finished sixth in the C final of the 50 free at Big Tens to account for three team points... runner-up in the B final of the 50 free at the Purdue Invitational to account for seven team points... won the 100 free in the dual meet victory vs. Miami (Ohio)... contributed to relay winners at the Indiana Intercollegiates and dual meet victory vs. Eastern Michigan... won his heat of the 50 free at the Indiana Intercollegiates.
2014-15: Thomas competed in the freestyle sprints... posted season-best times in the 50 (20.43), 100 (46.10) and 200 free (1:41.65) at the Big Ten Championships... also swam the third leg on the 200 free relay team at Big Tens, helping the quartet post the fifth-fastest time in program history... season-best time in the 50 free ranked fourth fastest on the team in 2014-15... contributed to victorious freestyle relay teams in dual meet victories vs. Notre Dame, Michigan State and Miami (Ohio)... qualified for the D final of the 50 free while posting his second-best times of the year in all three of his freestyle events (20.95, 47.06, 1:44.08).
