2010-11: Distinguished Big Ten Scholar... CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All-American... Academic All-Big Ten... LaMothe competed in nine different individual events but saw his most action in the 200 and 500 free... his season-best times in the 200 (1:39.28, 5th), 500 (4:28, 5th) 1000 (9:27.95, 5th) and 1650 free (15:25.96, 4th) all ranked among the top five for Purdue in 2010-11... posted his 200, 500 and 1650 free times at the Big Ten Championships, registering an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the mile... swam the third leg on the victorious 800 free relay team at the Purdue Invitational... that unit's time of 6:38.97 was an NCAA provisional mark and stood as the Purdue season best until the Big Ten Championships... swam the anchor leg on the 400 free relay team in the dual meet with Indiana that posted the fifth-fastest time of the year for Purdue... finished second in the B final of the 500 free at the Purdue Invitational... finished as the runner-up in the 1000 free in dual meet win against Eastern Michigan, posting his season-best time in that event... also competed in the 50 and 100 free, 100 and 200 fly and 200 IM.
