2015-16: Academic All-Big Ten... Nguyen competed primarily in the breaststroke events... posted career-best times in the 100 (55.60) and 200 breast (2:00.44) at the Purdue First Chance meet... 200 breast time ranked fourth fastest on the team in 2015-16... accounted for 11.5 team points at the Purdue Invitational by finishing third in the B final of both the 100 and 200 breast... made the travel roster for the dual meet at South Carolina, racing in the breaststroke events... shaved five seconds off his 200 breast time from the intrasquad meet in October and Purdue First Chance meet in February.
2014-15: Nguyen competed primarily in the breaststroke events... posted season-best times in the 100 breast (56.36) and 200 IM (1:55.29) at the Big Ten Championships... season-best 200 breast time (2:03.24) from the Minnesota Grand Prix ranked as the fifth fastest on the team in 2014-15... also had a strong time in the 200 breast (2:03.87) at Big Tens... swept the breast stroke events in the dual meet victory at Miami (Ohio)... won his heat of the 50 free at the season-opening Indiana Intercollegiates... also won his heat of the 50 breast in the dual meet victory vs. Michigan State... qualified for the C final of the 200 breast at the Minnesota Grand Prix.
2013-14: Nguyen competed primarily in the breaststroke events... posted a season-best time in the 200 breast (2:04.43) at the Minnesota Grand Prix while also competing in the 100 free, 100 breast and 200 IM... had his season-best time in the 100 breast (56.95) while winning heat 1 at the Big Ten Triple Duals... season-best time in the 200 IM (1:58.05) was at the season-opening Indiana Intercollegiates, a meet in which he also recorded a strong time in the 100 breast (57.88)... competed in the 100 (57.74) and 200 breast (2:04.98) along with the 200 IM (1:58.93) at the Big Ten Championships... won the 200 breast in the dual meet victory vs. Miami (Ohio)... won heat 5 of the 100 breast at the season-opening Indiana Intercollegiates... competed in the 500 free in the dual meet win vs. Michigan State.
