2013-14: Nguyen competed primarily in the breaststroke events... posted a season-best time in the 200 breast (2:04.43) at the Minnesota Grand Prix while also competing in the 100 free, 100 breast and 200 IM... had his season-best time in the 100 breast (56.95) while winning heat 1 at the Big Ten Triple Duals... season-best time in the 200 IM (1:58.05) was at the season-opening Indiana Intercollegiates, a meet in which he also recorded a strong time in the 100 breast (57.88)... competed in the 100 (57.74) and 200 breast (2:04.98) along with the 200 IM (1:58.93) at the Big Ten Championships... won the 200 breast in the dual meet victory vs. Miami (Ohio)... won heat 5 of the 100 breast at the season-opening Indiana Intercollegiates... competed in the 500 free in the dual meet win vs. Michigan State.

Before Purdue: Nguyen swam for coach Todd Marsh at Centennial High School in Boise... two-time Junior Nationals Qualifier and Scholastic All-American as an upperclassman... YMCA Nationals finalist... Top Events (Times): 100 Breast (57.08) & 200 Breast (2:02.71)... Purdue Merit Scholar
