• Competed primarily in the freestyle sprints
• Posted season-best times in the 50 (21.00), 100 (45.46) and 200 free (1:40.65) at the IU First Chance meet
• Purdue's top finisher in all three of his freestyle events at IU, finishing second in the 50 and 200 as well as third in the 100
• Also raced in all three freestyle events at Virginia Tech's H2Okie Fall Invitational and the Big Ten Triple Duals

• Four-year letterwinner for coach Aaron Opell at Castle High School in southwestern Indiana
• Four-year state qualifier was also an individual state finalist each of his upperclassman seasons
• All-American in the 50 free as a senior
• Three-time Scholastic All-American
• Helped Castle win three conference titles and two sectional championships
• Helped 200 free relay team set new school record as a sophomore and junior
