2010-11: Distinguished Big Ten Scholar... Academic All-Big Ten... Dean competed in primarily breaststroke events but also swam the 200 IM at the Purdue Invitational and Big Ten Quad... closed out his career on a high note, posting season-best times in the 100 (57.76) and 200 breast (2:03.48) in the dual meet with Indiana, his final competition of the year... both breaststroke times ranked third on the team in 2010-11... his 200 IM (1:54.90) time at the Purdue Invitational was fifth best on the team... finished second in the C final in the 200 IM at the Purdue Invite... in the breaststroke events at the Purdue Invite, placed third in the B final of the 200 and fourth in the B final of the 100... swam the 100 and 200 breast and 200 IM at the Big Ten Quad... won the team's R.O. Papenguth sportsmanship award.
