2011-12: Academic All-Big Ten... Farrell competed primarily in the freestyle sprints and 100 breast... posted season-best times in the 50 (21.36) and 100 free (47.79) and 100 breast (58.56) at the Ohio State Winter Invite... swam the 100 fly at the Indiana Intercollegiates and dual meet win vs. Miami... competed the in the 50 free and 100 breast in at the Ohio State Invitational... also swam on multiple relay teams at the Ohio State Winter Invite.
2010-11: Academic All-Big Ten... Farrell compete in the 50 and 100 free as well as the 100 breast and fly... posted season-best times in the 50 (21.62) and 100 free (48.34) as well as 100 fly (52.27) at the Ohio State Winter Invite... posted a season-best time in the 100 breast (1:02.38) in the dual meet win at Miami (Ohio)... competed in all four of his events at the Purdue Invitational... helped his 200 medley relay team finish second at Miami, swimming the breaststroke leg.
2009-10: Anchored victorious 400 medley relay vs. Ball State (1/15)...also anchored third-place 200 freestyle relay and finished sixth in 50 freestyle vs. Cardinals...anchored fourth-place 400 medley relay and finished seventh in 50 freestyle vs. Miami (10/30...swam to runner-up finish in 50 freestyle and fourth-place showing in 100 freestyle vs. Carthage (11/13)...also led off second-place 400 freestyle relay...recorded season-best times of 47.80 in 100 freestyle and 51.76 in 100 butterfly and swam third leg on runner-up 200 freestyle relay at Ohio State Winter Invite (2/13)...also clocked season-best time of 21.70 in 50 freestyle (2/14)...swam third leg on runner-up 200 freestyle relay vs. Michigan State (1/9).
Before Purdue: Four-year letterwinner...two-time All-American...qualified for state championships final three years...also earned three letters in soccer and track and field...All-Conference in soccer as junior...All-County in track as senior...member of National Honor Society...Academic All-American.
