Bradley Inks 2 in Early Signing Period

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue men's golf head coach Rob Bradley has announced that Andrew Farraye and Andrew Lewis have signed National Letters of Intent and will join the Purdue golf program for the 2018-19 season.

Both golfers come from elite high school program and have had sensational scholastic careers.

"Both of our commitments are great golfers, great students and high-character people," Bradley said. "They both have tremendous work ethics and will be great additions to our program.

Andrew Farraye / 5-9 / St. Augustine, Florida / Ponte Vedra High School
• A four-year contributor at Ponte Vedra High School, Farraye has had a strong scholastic career.
• Was named a member of Florida's All-State team as both a junior and senior after finishing T-10th and T-7th at the state meet.
• Led team to the 2015 and 2017 state championships and was a member of four district and three regional championship teams. Also helped team to 2014 and 2016 state runner-up finish.
• Finished 14th at the AJGA Judie Oppenheimer Memorial.
• Owns a 4.0 GPA and won the weight-training Academic Award.
• High school's coach is Mickey Leapley.
• Chose Purdue because of the "great courses and facilities, the coaching staff and the academic reputation of Purdue."
• Born March 24, 2000, in Jacksonville, Fla.
• Son of Donna and Marc Farraye.
• Has a pair of brothers, Daniel and Nick.
• Brother, Daniel, plays lacrosse at UCF.
• Intends to major in finance.

WHAT BRADLEY SAYS: Andrew has worked hard over the last couple of years to improve and he has a very high upside. He is very long off the tee and he has an outstanding work ethic and wants to get better. He has shown that he can play with some of the top juniors in America and we are excited to see what he can do here at Purdue.

Andrew Lewis / 5-9 / Westfield, Indiana / Westfield
• One of the most highly-regarded recruits in school history, Lewis continues the Westfield pipeline to Purdue.
• A four-year contributor at Westfield, Lewis is ranked No. 35 among high school seniors and No. 59 overall. In the Rolex rankings, Lewis is ranked as the No. 39 senior and 82nd overall.
• Helped Westfield to state titles in 2015 and 2016.
• Was a 2016 Rolex Junior All-American after a sensational year.
• Finished tied for fourth at a pair of prestigious national events, the 2016 PING Invitational and the 2017 Polo Junior Golf Classic.
• Won a Golfweek Junior Tour event at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course, shooting a 36-hole score of 15-under par 129 (63-66).
• Posted four top-five finishes in AJGA events during the 2016 season.
• Competed in the U.S. Junior Amateur this past summer.
• High school coach is Josh Bryant.
• Born July 3, 2000, in Noblesville, Indiana.
• Son of Chris and John Lewis.
• Brother, Thomas, is a sophomore on the Purdue golf team.
• Will be 1-of-3 members from the Westfield High School golf team to play at Purdue during the 2018-19 season.
• Intends to major in finance.

WHAT BRADLEY SAYS: Andrew has proven that he can play at the highest level and we are excited for him to join our program. We feel that he can come in and contribute immediately. He is very consistent from tee to green and really excels around the green. We are looking forward to helping Andrew reach his full potential and he has an extremely bright future. He will help our program get to the next level.
