Dec. 12, 2005 WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Former Purdue men's golfer Shiv Kapur captured the Asian Tour's Rookie of the Year Award after capturing the Volvo Master's of Asia on Sunday in Thailand. Kapur fired a final-round 67 and set a tournament record with a total of 268 over the four rounds. He won the tournament by two strokes at the Thai Country Club. He Hefinished fourth on the tours money list with $242,101 in earnings.
