WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Competing for the first time in two weeks, the surging Purdue men's golf team will head to Carmel, Ind., and Crooked Stick Golf Club for the 54-hole Crooked Stick Invitational to be played Monday and Tuesday. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday and then 18 holes on Tuesday.

Crooked Stick Golf Club is a challenging, par-72, 7,290-yard Pete Dye design that has hosted such events as the 2009 U.S. Senior Open, the 2005 Solheim Cup, the 1993 U.S. Women's Open and the 1991 PGA Championship.

Fourteen teams will be competing this weekend, including Big Ten opponents Indiana (host) and Michigan State, as well as Golfweek top-50 opponents Georgia (6th), Arkansas (24th), Florida State (31st), Florida (46th) and TCU (49th). Purdue is ranked 59th in the latest rankings released on Oct. 9.

Freshman Austin Eoff, who has climbed to No. 110 in the same rankings and owns an impressive 194-19-3 head-to-head record after placing tied for fourth, tied for 11th and seventh in his first three collegiate tournaments, leads the Boilermakers with a 71.44 stroke average and is a cumulative one-over par through nine rounds. He finished seventh at the competitive Jack Nicklaus Invitational, including a first-round, four-under par 67, the best score by a Boilermaker this year.

Adam Schenk follows Eoff with a 72.89 scoring average and has placed no worse than tied for 27th in his three tournament appearances this year. Schenk owns 21 top-20 finishes in his 38 career events.

Freshman Philippe Schweizer has shown improvement in every tournament, finishing a career-best 23rd (tied) in the Jack Nicklaus Invitational and is third on the team with a 74.22 stroke average. Enzo Perez is fourth at 74.33 strokes per 18 holes and has finished as high as 21st this year at the Nicklaus Invitational.

Head coach Rob Bradley is inserting junior Sam Fu into this week's lineup. It will be Fu's first collegiate event since April 2012. For his career, Fu has played in 10 events and owns a 76.44 stroke average in 27 competitive rounds.

The Boilermakers will wrap up their spring slate on Oct. 26-27 at the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C.
