WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's golf team will get its season under way this weekend when it heads to Verona, N.Y., for the Turning Stone Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Missouri.

Named the second-best resort facility in the country in Golf World's 2009 Readers' Choice Awards, Turning Stone is a par-72, 7,482-yard course that ranks among the nation's elite. The resort annually hosts the PGA Tour's Turning Stone Resort Championship, which moved from the Fall Series to the FedEx Cup season in 2010.

Purdue head coach Devon Brouse will open his 13th season at the Boilermaker helm with a lineup of junior William Sjaichudin, senior Nakarintra Ratanakul and junior Tyler Duncan in the top three spots, respectively. Freshmen Adam Schenk and Sam Fu will make their collegiate debuts at Turning Stone in the fourth and fifth spots, respectively, in the Purdue order.

Sjaichudin ranked third on Purdue's team in 2009-10 with 74.32 scoring average, while Ratanakul was second on the squad at a clip of 74.12 strokes per round. Duncan, a second-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 5 honoree a year ago, posted a 74.44 stroke average in 2009-10.

Live scoring will not be available for the Turning Stone Intercollegiate, but results will be posted at purduesports.com at the conclusion of each day.
