WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men’s golf team will head north this week in search of an NCAA Championships bid when it competes at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional at University of Michigan Golf Course from Thursday to Saturday.

Competition will get under way from the par-71, 6,723-yard U-M Golf Course on Thursday with tee times starting at 8 a.m. ET on both No. 1 and No. 10. The ninth-seeded Boilermakers will begin teeing off at 8:50 a.m. ET on Thursday, and will play with No. 7 seed Kennesaw State and No. 8 seed TCU in the first round.

The Boilers are making the ninth NCAA Regional appearance in program history, and their second in as many years. The top five teams from each of the six regions, as well as the top individual on a non-advancing team from each site, will advance to the NCAA Championships at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Ranked 49th in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin ratings, Purdue is one of 12 top-75 teams in the 13-team field that will descend upon Ann Arbor this week. Top-seeded Southern California is ranked fifth in the nation, while No. 6 Oregon, No. 17 Kent State, No. 21 Virginia, No. 27 Oklahoma State, No. 29 Baylor, No. 41 TCU, No. 43 Kennesaw State, No. 55 Notre Dame, No. 62 North Carolina State and No. 72 Ohio State are also slated to take the course.

Senior Tyler Duncan will play in the No. 1 position for the Boilermakers in Ann Arbor. The second-team All-Big Ten selection led the Boilers with a 72.76 stroke average this season, counting 29.5 of his 33 rounds to Purdue’s team score. He posted six top-10 finishes on the season, and recently tied for 12th at the Big Ten Championships.

One of three freshmen in the Purdue lineup, Justin Cho will play in the No. 2 position this week. The Alpharetta, Ga., native owns a 74.81 stroke average on the season.

Sophomore Adam Schenk, who ranks second on the team with a scoring average of 74.60 and has two top-10 showings on the year, will play No. 3, while redshirt freshman Enzo Perez and true freshman Ben-Marvin Egel will man the fourth and fifth places in the lineup, respectively.
