INDIANAPOLIS - Junior Adam Schenk will represent the Purdue men's golf program in postseason play, having been selected to compete as an individual at the NCAA Columbus Regional next week.
The 54-hole tournament will be contested on the Scarlet Course at the Ohio State University Golf Club from May 16-18. Schenk is one of 10 individuals competing at the Columbus Regional, along with the 13 qualifying teams in the field. The low five teams and low individual not on those teams will advance to the NCAA finals at the Capital City Club in Atlanta from May 28-June 2.
A first-team All-Big Ten selection and a Big Ten Championships All-Championships Team honoree, Schenk leads the Boilermakers with a 73.44 stroke average. He has posted five top-10 finishes, including a tie for fifth at the 2013 Big Ten Championships in French Lick, Ind.
For his career, Schenk has a 73.69 scoring average in 99 rounds with 11 top-10 showings and a pair of individual wins. He was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2011.
