WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's golf team earned an NCAA Regional berth for the second-straight season on Monday when the selection committee named the Boilermakers the No. 9 seed in the Ann Arbor Region.
The Boilers will head to University of Michigan Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich., for 54 holes of competition from May 17-19. The top five teams from each of the six regions, as well as the top individual on a non-advancing team from each site, will advance to the NCAA Championships at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., from May 29-June 3.
Purdue will be making the ninth NCAA Regional appearance in program history, and its second in as many seasons. The Boilermakers own a pair of regional titles, capturing back-to-back trophies in 2001 and 2002.
Ranked 49th in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin ratings, Purdue is one of 12 top-75 teams in the 13-team field that will descend upon Ann Arbor next week.
