WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's golf team earned an NCAA Regional berth for the second-straight season on Monday when the selection committee named the Boilermakers the No. 9 seed in the Ann Arbor Region.

The Boilers will head to University of Michigan Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich., for 54 holes of competition from May 17-19. The top five teams from each of the six regions, as well as the top individual on a non-advancing team from each site, will advance to the NCAA Championships at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., from May 29-June 3.

Purdue will be making the ninth NCAA Regional appearance in program history, and its second in as many seasons. The Boilermakers own a pair of regional titles, capturing back-to-back trophies in 2001 and 2002.

Ranked 49th in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin ratings, Purdue is one of 12 top-75 teams in the 13-team field that will descend upon Ann Arbor next week. Top-seeded Southern California is ranked fifth in the nation, while No. 6 Oregon, No. 17 Kent State, No. 21 Virginia, No. 27 Oklahoma State, No. 29 Baylor, No. 41 TCU, No. 43 Kennesaw State, No. 55 Notre Dame, No. 62 North Carolina State and No. 72 Ohio State are also slated to take the course.

The Boilers are led by senior Tyler Duncan, who earned second-team All-Big Ten honors after leading the team with a 72.76 stroke average and posting six top-10 finishes. Sophomore Adam Schenk ranks second on the team with a 74.60 scoring average, and senior William Sjaichudin checks in third with a 74.64 average.
