RALEIGH, N.C. - The Purdue men's golf team finished the opening day of the Wolfpack Intercollegiate at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in 10th place with a team total of 598 (+30).

The Boilermakers were in 13th place with a total of 306 (+22) after the first round before posting an eight-over 292 in the second round to move up three spots on the leader board.

Sophomores Tyler Duncan and William Sjaichudin led Purdue on Friday with 36-hole scores of 148 (+4) to enter into a tie for 24th place. Duncan fired an even-par 71 in the afternoon round, while Sjaichudin's first-round 75 was the Boilermakers' best in the morning.

Junior Erich Johnston finished Friday in a tie for 44th place with a total of 151 (+7), while classmate Nakarintra Ratanakul carded a 152 (+8) to wrap up the day in a tie for 53rd place. Junior Maximo Kopp rounded out the Purdue lineup on Friday with a score of 153 (+9), good for a tie for 60th place.
