WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue finished day one with a two-round cumulative score of 611, 35 strokes over par at the Linger Longer Invitational. The 611 (+35) placed the Boilermakers in ninth place.

The tournament, which is co-hosted by Kennesaw State University and Mercer University, is being played at the Reynolds Landing Golf Course in Greensboro, Georgia. The course is a par-72, 7,048-yard venue.

Tyler Duncan led the Boilermakers with a score of 149 (+5). Duncan, who is tied for 20th, shot a 74 (+2) in round one and a 75 (+3) in round two. William Sjaichudin, who is tied for 42nd, shot an 82 (+10) in round one but rebounded to shoot a team low 72 (E) in round two. Other scoring Boilermakers included Maximo Kopp (155), Erich Johnston (158), and David Gersztein (158).

Oklahoma State and Georgia lead the tournament with cumulative scores of 579 (+3). Georgia and Oklahoma State are currently ranked first and second respectively according to Golfstat's rankings. Wichita State, currently ranked 94, is in third place with a score of 585 (+9).

Bill Jones of Mercer used a two-round score of 138 (-6) and currently leads the tournament. His first-round score of 68 was a tournament low. Harris English of Georgia is currently in second with a score of 139 (-5) and Connor McHenry of Wichita State is in third with a score of 140 (-4).
