WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Old Oaken Bucket, a bowl bid and bragging rights on are the line Saturday at Ross-Ade Stadium as Purdue hosts Indiana for Senior Day. Game time is scheduled for noon ET with a live television broadcast on ESPN2.
Purdue (5-6, 3-5 B1G) kept its bowl hopes alive with an impressive 24-15 win at Iowa last Saturday. The Boilermakers were led by Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week Anthony Mahoungou, who hauled in seven passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Purdue's defense continued to be runstoppers, as the Boilermakers limited the Hawkeyes to just 82 yards rushing on 38 attempts. It marked the fourth game in a row Purdue has held an opponent under 100 yards rushing.
Indiana (5-6, 2-6 B1G) is coming off back-to-back wins with a road win at Illinois, before shutting out Rutgers 41-0 last week. The Hoosiers have a balanced offensive attack with both rushing and passing ranked in the top 50 in the country.
