WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will pay tribute to students, veterans and other members of the community with a series of special ticket promotions for Saturday's football game against Michigan State.
* Purdue students may purchase tickets for $10.
* All current and former members of the Armed Forces and their families are being offered free tickets. Tickets may be reserved by calling the Athletic Ticket Office (494-3194), and a special Will-Call area will be set up in Mackey Arena.
* All United Way agency clients are eligible for free tickets, as well. Each agency will handle the distribution of tickets to its clients.
Fans also are reminded that the CityBus trolley runs from Lafayette to the corner of University and Third streets, just a few blocks from Ross-Ade Stadium.
Kickoff Saturday is set for noon between the Boilermakers (4-6 overall, 3-3 Big Ten), who have won three of their last four games, and the Spartans (5-5, 3-3). Some 21 Purdue seniors are slated to appear in their final home game and will be honored.
Other previously announced ticket deals available for this game include South End Zone tickets for $22 each and four tickets in the main stands for $100.
