WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - 
The Boilermakers and Fighting Illini are set to square off Saturday at Ross-Ade Stadium. The teams will battle for the Cannon trophy with kickoff slated for noon ET. The game will be televised live on the Big Ten Network.

Since 1943, Purdue and Illinois have played for the Cannon trophy. The Boilermakers lead the Cannon portion of the all-time series 34-29-2, including nine wins in the last 12 matchups. Purdue won the 2016 meeting 34-31 in overtime in Champaign.

Purdue (3-5, 1-4 B1G) celebrates Family Day and the Boilermakers' Salute to Service Game this weekend. Veterans from the Wounded Warrior Project, active military service and ROTC and future soldiers will form the pregame tunnel. Numerous other recognitions and ceremonies will take place during the game.

Illinois (2-6, 0-5 B1G) has won the last two games played at Ross-Ade and leads the all-time series against Purdue 44-42-6.
