WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue football team has cracked the top 10 in both this week's Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today polls.

The Boilermakers (4-0) are No. 9 by AP and No. 10 by ESPN/USA Today.

It marks the second time Purdue has been as high as ninth under Joe Tiller, following the week of Nov. 5, 2000, when the Boilermakers were ninth.

Before Tiller, the last time the Boilermakers were as high as No. 9 came in the 1980 preseason poll, when they were ninth.

The Boilermakers travel to Penn State on Saturday, Oct. 9. Kickoff at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pa., is set for 4:30 p.m. EDT (3:30 West Lafayette time), and the game will be televised by ESPN.
