WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue football team will visit the College Football Hall of Fame on Friday afternoon, one day before the 15th-ranked Boilermakers take on Notre Dame in South Bend.

Head coach Joe Tiller and the Boilermakers will tour the Hall of Fame from 3:05 to 4:20 p.m.

The Heisman Trophy will be a feature in the museum all weekend. With a full-price admission ticket, fans may get their picture taken with college football's most prestigious award. The Hall of Fame will provide pictures for $5, or fans are permitted to bring their own camera and snap photos free of charge.

In addition to these souvenir snapshots, fans that purchase a full-price admission ticket have the choice of receiving a free Knute Rockne poster or purchasing an autographed Joe Theismann or Tiller 8x10 photo for only $10. Autographed photos are limited.

The Hall of Fame is the perfect place for fans to get into the spirit of college football and experience all that the game has to offer. Taking in the history of college football is the perfect way to get revved up for a game.

The College Football Hall of Fame has welcomed more than 620,000 visitors since its doors opened in South Bend in 1995. State of the art exhibits and videos are only the kickoff in this 58,000 square-foot facility that is regarded as one of the most exciting and interactive museums in the world.

The Hall of Fame provides fans with a great entertainment value. A typical guest can spend all day at the museum playing with the interactive games, watching highlight film and reliving the all-time greats who played the game.

A downward spiraling 100-yard ramp leads to the core of exhibits and the heart of the College Football Hall of Fame - the Stadium Theatre. The powerful presentation educates the audience on the history and origin of the game by cleverly weaving pictures and video from the past and present, meshed together depicting the thrill of a college football Saturday, from tailgate parties to the post-game embraces of the game-day rivals.

The Hall of Champions combines impressive multimedia capabilities with football memorabilia honoring the accomplishments of each inductee while chronicling special events in the history of the game. From the master tactician to the professional tailgater, all visitors have a place at the College Football Hall of Fame's Locker Room and Pigskin Pageantry. Kids and adults can see how their basic physical skills compare with those of college athletes in the Training Room and Practice Field.

Like the exhibit and interactive section, the Press Box and Gridiron Plaza are other attractions that make the College Football Hall of Fame a complete and exemplary facility for almost any occasion. The Press Box is ideal for receptions, parties, luncheons and business meetings of up to 400 guests. The Gridiron Plaza, the Hall's miniature football field, has hosted alumni receptions of up to 1,500 people.

The Hall of Fame, located in downtown South Bend - just two miles from Notre Dame's campus - has extended hours on Notre Dame home football weekends: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

For more information regarding Friday's festivities or future events, call 574-235-5715 or visit the College Football Hall of Fame website at www.collegefootball.org.
