WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Big Ten's Honoring Legends. Building Leaders. Mobile Tour will visit Purdue from Thursday, Sept. 15, through Saturday, Sept. 17. The RV will make several stops on campus and in Greater Lafayette.

* On Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. and on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the RV will be stationed at the Memorial Mall on campus.

* At 5 p.m. Friday, the RV will join up with the football team busses and Boilermaker Special to head to the Boiler Bridge Walk. Upon arrival, the RV will continue to the east side of the Wabash River and park at Lafayette Savings Bank until 7 p.m.

* On Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon and from 3 to 4 p.m., the RV will be set up at Slayter Center on Stadium Avenue.

The mobile tour will entertain and educate fans with information on the Big Ten's new format and the exciting road ahead: two divisions, the championship weekend in Indianapolis, new trophies and the path to the Rose Bowl or BCS National Championship Game. The tour also will help fans understand the origins behind the Legends and Leaders division names by sharing several stories of ways the conference honors its legends and strives to build future leaders.

The tour will stop at a different campus each week, typically from Thursday through game day on Saturday, and will contain interactive activities, including the opportunity for fans to have their picture taken with the Stagg-Paterno Championship Trophy. The tour will also feature television sets on site for fans to keep up with other games around the conference. The tour concludes in Indianapolis for the Big Ten Football Championship Game on Dec. 3 at Lucas Oil Stadium.

One student from each Big Ten university will report from the campus stops. Purdue has selected Jonathan Gandolf, a senior management major, to report on the functions surrounding the mobile tour by using several different outlets. To learn more about Gandolf and the reporters from other campuses, and to keep track of the mobile tour, visit the Big Ten Mobile Tour blog by clicking here and accessing the YouTube page, click here. You also can follow the Mobile Tour Twitter page: @B1GMobileTour. At the end of the season, fans will vote for their favorite reporter, and the winner will have the opportunity to attend the inaugural Big Ten Football Championship Game or a Big Ten bowl game of their choice.
