WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Signage was erected today at the Bimel Practice Complex, the Purdue football program's outdoor facility. The archway signage was hand fabricated and welded from mild steel, or low carbon steel. It is double-powder coated in gloss black.

In July, it was announced that longtime Purdue football enthusiast and supporter Carl Bimel made a $2 million commitment to the Boilermaker gridiron program. In recognition of the gift, Purdue named its two outdoor football practice fields the Bimel Practice Complex.

The Bimel Practice Complex features two lighted 100-yard fields - one Bermuda to match the surface in Ross-Ade Stadium and one FieldTurf. It was built in 2009 as part of the Mackey Complex Project and resides north of the Mollenkopf Center.
